1.6 Two-Factor Authentication
Linkzly supports two-factor authentication (2FA) to add an extra layer of security to your account. You can set this up at any time from 2FA Setup in the System section of the sidebar.
Supported 2FA Methods
| Method | How it works |
|---|---|
| Authenticator App (TOTP) | Use an app like Google Authenticator or Authy to generate a time-based one-time code |
| Email OTP | Receive a one-time code to your registered email address |
Backup Codes
When you enable 2FA, Linkzly generates a set of backup codes. Store these in a safe place โ you can use one to access your account if you lose access to your 2FA method.
Trusted Devices
You can mark a device as trusted so that 2FA is not required every time you log in from that device. Trusted device status lasts for 30 days.
